Affiliate marketing – choose your products carefully
May 8th
Affiliate marketing is a means of selling a product where the producer of the product shares a part of the sales price with other individuals who market the product, but don’t actually keep it in stock it or market it directly. These individuals, known as affiliates, just market the product or market it in exchange for part of the earnings.
There are literally tens of thousands of products that one can market as an affiliate. Amazon.com has an affiliate program, and you can advertise virtually anything that’s for sale at that website. Similarly, online auction website eBay in addition has a program that pays consumers to advertise their site and their auctions. The most heavily promoted affiliate products are likely to be information products, and those are the ones that are typically advertised with the “get rich quick” buzz that draws many novices into the world of on the internet sales.
